Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden wins prestigious national award

Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden was recently awarded the 2011 National Medal from the Institute of Museum and Library Services. The National Medal is considered the nation's highest honor for museums and libraries that have a positive impact on individuals, families and communities. The garden, located in Henrico, was nominated by Senator Mark R. Warner and is the first Virginia museum to ever receive the distinguished award.
