BIZERBA North America’s USA Industrial Division announces the move of its Richmond VA office.

5200 Anthony Rd, Sandston, Virginia 23150 is the new location for Bizerba North America’s Industrial Equipment, Engineering Center, and main warehouse for the Consumable division. This new facility will also allow ample space to house Bizerba’s customer service, engineering staff, and New-to-the-USA equipment assembly department.

With the consolidation of Bizerba’s North American operations under the direction of Mr. Robert Slykhuis, and the addition of regional equipment assembly as well as on-site engineering services being provided for Bizerba customers, it was decided that Bizerba’s current location in Richmond, Virginia needed to change.

Facts:

• The Richmond office and warehouse have moved from 2229 Tomlynn St, Richmond, Virginia to 5200 Anthony Dr. Suite F, Sandston, Virginia 23150.
• Operations are running under the same phone numbers and contact structure as was used at the previous address.
• This move increases Bizerba’s warehousing capabilities, allows us to better serve our customers, and brings with it new jobs and opportunities as it has allowed us to move our assembly operations from our main factory in Balingen, Germany over to the USA.
• Bizerba’s Industrial Divisions Technical Service staff will also be managed and dispatched from our new location.
• Bizerba is a 146-year-old weighing technology company headquartered in Balingen, Germany with operations in over 120 locations world wide. Bizerba has maintained a presence in the Americas marketplace for over 26 years.
• Bizerba’s USA’s corporate headquarters is located in Piscataway, New Jersey, Bizerba Canada’s operations are headquartered in Mississauga, Canada and our label printing production plant is located in Forest Hill, Maryland.

Moving to this new facility strengthens Bizerba commitment “of closer to your Business” as now the USA and Canada’s Bizerba Industrial Machine line will proudly carry the MADE IN AMERICA stamp. The assembly of Bizerba equipment in the Richmond, VA area benefits our customers and the local economy.

The official “Ribbon Cutting” or in this case label roll cutting took place on April 6, 2010. In addition to the Richmond staff, Mr. Andreas Kraut, Member of the Executive Board of Bizerba GmbH and Mr. Robert Slykhuis, President and CEO of Bizerba’s North American operations, visited with us for our grand opening; also joining the celebration was the Henrico County Manager, Mr. Virgil R. Hazelett, the Deputy County Manager, Mr. Randall R Silber, The Executive Director, Mr. Gary R. McLaren, Mr. James B. Donati of the county board of Supervisors and Mr. Jim Shannon of Meatingplace Magazine.

Bizerba’s modular design concept now assembled locally will benefit our customers not only from a shorter delivery time for ordered equipment but they also gain by having a larger technical force on hand as well as an increase in regional spare part availability.

Bizerba’s local staff increase to meet assembly functions also provides us with a technical labor pool, as trainees become more knowledgeable from working alongside experienced factory technicians a reserve of specialized employees become available to draw from.

Bizerba’s continued growth and commitment to its customer base is also supported by the recent acquisition of a label production facility in Maryland. Now named Bizerba Label Solutions, this print and production plant has been upgraded with new presses and Label tracking software; however it retains a experienced staff whose skills are now further augmented by Bizerba’s label production and research facilities in Germany.

Also included in the Bizerba North America team and located within our new Virginia office is Bizerba Engineered Solutions. This team of dedicated, experienced design engineers and programmers are available to assist our customers on site or remotely with plant and production flow projects.

Headed by Mr. Rainer Dallarosa our VP of engineering and closely connected with Bizerba Germany’s engineering department, we confidently offer right next door, face to face collaboration to help solve equipment integration and production logistics software challenges.
