Henrico County offers a wide array of neighborhoods and planned communities that suit any lifestyle and budget. Residents live in quaint 19th-century farmhouses as well as 21st-century homes built with the latest techniques. Whether close to the city or nestled in the suburbs, from historic homes to modern apartments and condominiums, newcomers can find the perfect place to call home. The communities are convenient to shopping, schools and close to business centers. We have a community, a neighborhood and a place for everyone. It's no wonder that Money Magazine named the greater Richmond area the number one place to live in the South among medium-sized cities.
It is not surprising that Henrico’s Glen Allen community was named by Money Magazine and CNN as one of the “Top 100 Best Places to Live” in America. Only three Virginia communities made the coveted 2009 list.
