Business Programs

Henrico County EDA has a mission: to help your business reach its maximum potential. Whether you’re starting a new business or growing an existing one, we’re committed to helping your company succeed for as long as you’re located here – with numerous business incentives, opportunities and assistance programs.

Business First is an economic development initiative designed to support the success of local businesses. One of the ways Business First communicates with local businesses is by actually visiting them. Business First volunteers regularly interview local business owners in order to build relationships and share information about available resources.

Business First can help with concerns such as employee recruiting and hiring, advertising and equipment leasing, or dealing with local and state government issues.

Business First can help connect your business with the right resources for:

  • Employee Recruitment and Hiring
  • Ombudsman Assistance
  • Real Estate Research
  • Finance/Banking
  • Marketing, Advertising & PR
  • International Sales & Marketing
  • Business Plan Development
  • Accounting

Build relationships, learn updated business strategies and make new connections in our vibrant business community by participating in our CATALYST Business Workshop – an annual event held exclusively for local business owners and executives.

Learn more about CATALYST here.

The Henrico EDA hosts a bi-annual roundtable discussion for executives of companies that employ more than 500 employees in the county. A representative from the Henrico Board of Supervisors, the County Manager and a guest speaker participate in each session.

Henrico County recognizes the importance of local businesses to our community. Throughout the year, we highlight the achievements of our businesses through social media, special events and "Henrico Now" newsletter articles. If your business has something going on that you would like us to know about, please contact our office!
