The Port
of Richmond is the westernmost inland port with direct
access to the Atlantic Ocean. It services ships and barges
with drafts up to 22 feet. On-site port features include U.S.
Customs Service, a livestock export ramp, fumigation services,
and heavy lift capability for project cargo and special projects.
Weekly container liner service to Chester, PA, Antwerp, Belgium and
Liverpool, England, as well as container and general cargo
service to and from the Northern Europe, Mediterranean, Canada, Mexico, South America, and
the Caribbean.

40 acres of open storage area.
CSX provides rail service direct and Norfolk Southern
via switch.

Dominion
Virginia Power provides electricity service, maintaining
a 15% generation reserve margin to ensure service reliability.
Average cost per kilowatt hour: 3.80 cents (based on 3-shift
industrial operation, with monthly usage of 1,000 kw demand
and 650,000 kw hours).
Mix: 33% nuclear, 42% coal, 19% purchase and interchange,
